Photography is the science, art, application and practice of creating durable images by recording light or other electromagnetic radiation, either electronically by means of an image sensor, or chemically by means of a light-sensitive material such as photographic film.

Let break things up here by asking ourselves why we are studying photography? We all have different answers which I will like us to  reply in the comment box.

Photography can also be said as the art or practice of taking and processing photographs. The word photo-graphy is a greek word which is divided into two part Photo means light while Graphia means to write, simply put photography is writing with light.

Photography is life, it help to capture object through the light sensor in the camera and this is giving the man behind the camera the power to produce, reproduce, create, and record the events. You can not be a good photographer if your imaginative thinking is low, and this now balls down to what you need photography for. The man behind the shutter is the god of the particular event that is unfolding or about to unfold, he dictates what to be captured and what to skip. With the power of a creator how do you want to tell your story to the world, which mood do you want to depict, which time-line do you want your audience to view from, and what do you want them to think of after viewing your images.

Photographs are used for documentation, communication, it is also use to express creativity, express imagination, new concept. It is also use as a means of educate, record history, for fun and social activities. It is the universal language that is understood by everyone.

You are lucky to be here because I know you will be better after some session with me. Oh let try something out now, be in a relax mood and try to create any event of any kind in your head, feel the events and try to build up things that you think is missing, add some spices to it when you feel is not looking too good.

Nobody is turning you in turn a photographer, moreover we all are photographer when we switch our phone into camera mode, mind you some of this gadgets has sophisticated sensors equivalent to a professional cameras. You never can tell which opportunity await you as the society is speedily turning into a digital one. This is your opportunity to drab what you can when time still permit.
